3月7号星期六，我和我们组员组织一同去了佘山附近的小农村进行了实地调研。下面两张图是我们旅途中经过的一些农民住所，一位当地老奶奶正在用井里的水洗衣服。我观察到他们是用最传统的方式打井水的，一根绳子绑着一个塑料盆，一端系在井盾上，用时就用手将绳和塑料盆放下去取水，不过在白天以这种方式取水还算方便，但到了晚上就很难看清水的深度和取水量了。随后，我们从周围的农民了解到，这水平时就用来洗衣服，不会用来喝的，因为上海的地下水受过污染，被一些工业加工厂污染了，所以不能食用。
最后一张是我们在广富林农庄里看到的一口井，可以说它们的取水工具比上面那种先进多了，只需要将旁边的铁杆向下一压一台，就能取出井水，其实原理很简单，就是用大气压强将水从地底下压上来。这种方式不论早晚都能方便地取井水，但是并不能解决水污染的问题。
所以，我想了一个方法，就是将课堂上讲到的那个Life Straw与后面的取水工具结合起来，这样在许多贫困的农村里，农民可以喝到干净的井水了，这样也许能让他们的生活质量有很大地改善吧！

At the afternoon of March 3rd, our team was making a research in some granges nearby Sheshan. There are two pictures below that we photoed in a number of peasant houses. A old woman was washing with groundwater and we found out that she got water by the most traditional way, a rope and a plastic basin. One top of the rope was tying on the rock and another was on the basin. It was easy to use in the morning but in the night that was not convenient. We learned from the local peasants that the water only can be used to wash not to drink because it is polluted by some industrial company.
The last picture below is a well in the guangfulin grange. It is much more advanced than the one before. You just press the pole beside and water will be piled out. It is via the atmosphere pressure. They can get groundwater easily whenever it’s day or night. But it doesn’t deal with the problem about the pollution of water.
So I think of an idea. I want to combine the Life Straw with the tool before. Thus, in some poor villages the people who live there can drink clean groundwater. Maybe their life are much better than before.
